WATCH THE VIDEO PREMIERE AT ECHOES AND DUST: bit.ly/draggedup

Limited Cassette and CD from rarevitaminrecords.bandcamp.com

"Dragged Up return in devastating form with new single Missing Person. Built around the kind of groove the band have previously only hinted at, Missing Person inhabits a barren dub-funk post-punk wasteland and unleashes a searing aural assault on a severed connection seemingly beyond saving, lamenting the blank space where a person used to be.
B’side Machine Person reassembles the above into a lo-fi post-dub orgy of battering ram percussion and ground shaking bass, a flashing echo of barely contained metronomic chaos that is both filthily addictive and highly danceable." Fran Carlyon - heavymetalkids.uk

"A loping rhythmic groove provides the anchor for 'Missing Person' offering space for their wide range of disparate influences to surface to great effect. Bursts of Cramps styled riffs, splinters of psych guitars and a midsection of surf guitar twang all jostling, at points, over busy bass lines filled with verses combining male and female vocals, and a chorus where their trademark cooly, detached vocals and harmonies, recalling C86, merge with soaring fuzz guitar noise. It's thrilling stuff.

'Machine Person' is pretty great too, a grooving dubbed out reworking over skittery rhythms, low slung bass tones and disembodied vocals sounding like a lo-fi take on PIL's 'Death Disco'. They keep surprising and keep delivering and it's more than apparent that this Glasgow five-piece have a lot to offer with their disparate DIY sound.." Tony Dickie - Compulsion Online

"Energetic and punchy new single “Missing Person”, on which they bridge the elements of garage punk, psychedelic pop and post-punk, creating a vibrant mix together with a distinctive personality and fun delivery" - Acute Pop

"There's an interesting melange of sounds and influences here - some Cramps-esque rockabilly guitar, some busy bass notes and a slightly post-punk overall sound. The spoken/sung female vocals are deliberately dispassionate but very effective. The guitar sound ramps up a bit for the chorus, which sounds slightly garage rock, slightly C86. There's a slightly mad instrumental section midway through, including a key-change and some B52-ish, even dub-influenced echo and guitar-bothering before we get a last chorus. Alternate version "Machine Person", takes the "in dub" concept a bit further, like a collision between Delta5 and The Mad Professor" - Betty Mayonnaise Official

"Both songs immediately bring back memories of bands like The Raincoats and certainly The Slits , even more so because of the dubby version of their title track. This is wonderful indie pop, in which the guitars are allowed to rattle nicely and the singer allows her angelic voice to rise above the rattling rock or highly addictive dub." Patrick Bruneel - Luminous Dash
